The weather in California seems to have had trouble this month making up its mind to be cold and windy and wet or pleasant and properly May-like. I was forced to pull out this woolen skirt the other week in the name of warmth, but couldn’t bear to dress completely drab and wintery. I decided to add a little happy punch to my outfit and emphasize the yellow polka dots peppering my skirt with this bright and sunny yellow pineapple belt by kate spade. It reminded me of summertime and beaches and piña coladas and the warm weather that should have been :)

I was hoping for a restock, but none seemed forthcoming, so I inquired at my local store who said they could only find some stores carrying it in cream. Fortunately, I am very persistent and visited the page every morning until one popped back in stock one day, so I swooped in and ordered it :) I was very excited, I’ve had my eye on this piece since the spring preview back last September! ksny should really restock it in yellow though (..or at least offer the cream on their website?) since it was so popular. I hope you are able to get your hands on it some time =)

mmmm…so restrained and letting all the little details speak for themselves. The belt is really special- I’m glad your patience paid off and you managed to catch one!
I couldn’t wait to pack away the winter wools- I may have had a few goosebump days, for sure, but the pleasure of hiding away my tights, out of sight for another 4 or 5 months was just too great!

I also finally received my first pair of Karolinas (in biscuit) after they were backordered for over a month and I finally see why you love them so much. They’re incredibly comfortable even for a non-heel wearer like me…they might just be my wedding shoes!
