Things I have bought his week that I really shouldn’t have but I am weak and cannot pass up deals:
.
J.Crew Augusta Peep Toes in Soft Apricot
I have been busy stalking these since they came out on the site in early Spring. Oh so adorable, but not necessarily $225 adorable. Fortunately, the color I most wanted, the apricot (since I already have the Augusta Ballet Flats in yellow), went on sale this week, and with the recent 20% off promotion, these came to a cool $79.99. I’m always at a loss for what to wear with my frilly, frothy white dresses and skirts, but I think these will go perfectly.

.
Jessica Bennett Jeanie D’orsay Heels
I was randomly browsing the Jessica Bennett sale section and I did a double take when I saw these gorgeous red bow-adorned peep toes on sale for $49. I have been looking for a pair of shoes like this for a LONG time. I was even more pleased when I saw the site had a $10 off coupon on the blog, bringing these down to $39. Jessica Bennett makes really nice quality shoes, so that’s kind of insane. And then, best of all, I managed to get endless.com to pricematch the $39, and thus got their free overnight shipping and no sales tax to boot. Oh man, I’m such a cheapskate. But a cheapskate with pretty feet.
.
.
Anthropologie Bow-Tie Belt
I’m not sure what exactly I’m going to do with a lime green belt, but that bow looked so perfectly formed, *and* it was on sale, so I couldn’t resist. I’m sure I’ll find something! I got tempted by this after seeing it on the fab blog Midwestern Cliche, which, if you haven’t read yet, you should, because she manages to highlight the cutest things :)
Not totally related to the bow-tie theme but:
.
.
Anthropologie Majesty Palm Maillot
I’ve been drooling over this swimsuit for several months, but was not about to pay $200 for it. Now it’s on sale, yay! The obi-like tie at the waist seems super flattering and willing to hide a pudgy belly like mine :)
.
Modcloth Bow-jito skirt
.
I know, I know, I already own the J.Crew Bow skirt, but I have to see how this minty green version stacks up against it.
.
That was the last of my buys, but now that I’m on such a bow roll, I’m considering getting this very old wishlist item too :) :
In God We Trust Bow Cuff
Well I’m off for a few days to visit one of my best friends up near Seattle. Hope all of you have great weekends :)

Comment by goldenmeans July 13, 2009 @ 9:44 amI have the green Anthro belt too (in fact, I wore it today!). I wish it was a teensy bit longer, though, so I could wear it in the belt-loops of my jeans.
Yesterday I managed to score the blush/rose leather version on sale ($19.95 down from $42!). It’s the same style, but called the Intertwined Leather Belt.
Comment by zyzzyva July 10, 2009 @ 10:41 pmJust checked, there’s only one left, size M/L!

Comment by The Little Fashion Treasury August 3, 2009 @ 1:32 pm[...] nude color (though it also comes in a black if that’s more to your liking). I wanted to love J.Crew’s Augusta heels, but they ended up not working out for me (the bow was all droopy and sad, the fit was off, etc.). [...]
