Sorry I’ve been such a slacker about posting recently, but I’m going to make up for it in this lengthy-ish post.  Time for my latest roundup of Anthropologie reviews, pictures and wants!

These two I put on my wishlist in my last Anthropologie post, but I tried them on a few days later and they came off when I actually had the chance to see them in person:

anthro postmodernism topanthropologie postmodernism top  anthropologie postmodernism top

Postmodernism Top – $39.95 (on sale from $78.00)

I really liked the asymetrical lace detailing on this top, but the material is super thin.  This thing is clearly only meant for summer weather.  Also the cut is a little flared towards the bottom, which isn’t particularly figure flattering to me.  However, it is on sale now, so if you like it, now’s your chance to grab it.

anthro flowers & thyme dressanthro flowers & thyme dress

Flowers & Thyme Dress – $188

This dress is still uber-cute, but the cotton is a little stiffer and more structured than I expected.  As a result it’s not particularly friendly to curvy girls — plan on sizing up a size or two if you need to accommodate a generous chest or butt.  I didn’t find it particularly comfortable to wear either way, but if you are built straight-up-and-down, I think it could work well for you.

anthro lost-in-thought jacketanthro lost in thought hoodie

Lost-in-Thought Jacket - $68

This is such a comfy, cozy hoodie.  I love the exaggerated ruffle on the collar and the ribbon pull-ties.  It supririsngly coordinated so well with my Erin Featherston bunny tee that I was wearing at the time that I was tempted to buy it on the spot, but I remembered there was another hoodie I was even more interested in, the Dressed-Up Hoodie ($78 ).  It is similar, but has even more ruffles and crochet ties, though it disappointingly doesn’t come in the same blue color.  I think I’ll hold off on buying until I see them both.

anthropologie buttonblossom dress anthropologie buttonblossom dress

Buttonblossom Dress – $188

This is such a cute, sweet little spring/summer dress (not sure why Anthro has to persist in putting out un-seasonal clothing).  The explosion on buttons on the front looks very cool.  It has elastic/ruching on the back, meaning that you can probably size down from your usual size if you have a big bust.  I usually wear a 6-8 in dresses with a side zip, but I easily fit into a 4.

Anthro Clean Slate Sweater Dress  Anthro Clean Slate sweater dress

Clean Slate Sweater Dress - $158

I mentioned it in a previous post, but I love this dress.  It is super soft, very flattering, and has beautiful crochet dealing at the neckline and the hem.  The fit is very understanding since it cinches with a satin sash — I’m wearing a S here and it feels perfect.  This could easily be a go-to winter dress for me.

Deep Sleep Kimono Sweater  Deep Sleep Kimono Sweater  Deep Sleep Kimono Sweater

Deep Sleep Kimono Sweater - $129.95 (on sale from $248 )

This sweater is beautiful with it’s all-over embroidery detail, and overall very cozy, but I dunno, it made me feel a little…old?  I’m not sure — for some reason, I decided I couldn’t keep this, but that’s not to say that it’s not a very nice piece.

Anthro Detour Dress  Anthro Detour Dress

Detour Dress - $148

This dress is so springy and cute.  The cobalt color is fantastic, and I love the detail on the fabric and the sweet row of buttons.  However, the operative word here is “springy” — Anthro, it is freezing outside!  This may be perfect for a far-off sunny picnic, but right now there is no way I can motivate myself to buy this dress.

Also, two new arrivals that I don’t think have made their way to the website yet:

anthro fei spring dress  anthro fei dress

This is another inappropriately-springy dress, but I adore it’s ’90s-floral print and the way the lace at the top is blindingly white and contrasts so nicely with the pattern below.  Definitely need to size up if you have hips/thighs — I’m wearing a S/P here, but definitely need a medium, it was hugging my lower body a little too tight for comfort.  I don’t know the name of the dress, but it’s by Fei and costs around $138.

anthro white lace top  img_0697

How perfect is the scalloped lace trim on the side of this blouse?  I believe I *need* it for spring.  (ETA: These are the Window Shades blouse ($58) and the Creeping Zinnia Dress ($138))

I of course have a whole other mess of wishes and wants from the new arrivals section of the website, but this post is long enough for now…stay tuned for part two though :)

kind of off topic, but I love your necklace with the small stars – can I ask where you found that gem? :) Thanks.

Hey mack, of course :) It’s by Gorjana and called the Star Wrap Necklace. You can find it at Revolve and a bunch of other places. It’s a little pricy, but it is one of my very favorite necklaces, totally worth it. And I happen to love necklaces with stars on them and have a *lot*, so that’s really saying something for me to call it a favorite!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous girl!Love all outofits, but Flowers & Thyme Dress especially ( I know you mentioned that fabric is stiff and not so comfy, but it looks so adorable on you!)
Your blog is like an eye candy, keep posting!:)

Aw, thank you Slastena!
Thanks for the compliment on the dress — you’re making me reconsider =) I think if it goes on sale, I might spring for it….

Thanks! I just ordered it from Revolve –love! An Anthro recently opened WAY to close to my house and I love reading your reviews (along with J Crew and all the others) – let’s just say I have ended up with a few (many) items of clothes I may not have bought if I hadn’t read your blog and the store wasn’t so close

Ooh, an Anthro nearby always spells trouble (slash joy of course :) ). I’m glad my reviews have been able to help you out! Feel free to comment any time and let me know what you got or what new finds you’ve made, I’d love to hear =)

[...] I really like the ruffley detailing on this and the crochet ties.  I’m not totally convinced though that it is more awesome than the Lost-In-Thought hoodie I wrote about in my last Anthro wishlist. [...]
